Aliada Create v2.2.0: Playlists for everyone, and a player that keeps playing

Aliada Create v2.2.0

Playlists are out of beta and available on every plan. Your music now keeps playing while you move around Aliada, getting started takes three steps, and uploads fill in a waveform as they go. This release also brings a long list of smaller improvements and fixes.

• Playlists for everyone. Build playlists from your own sessions and ones shared with you, and pick which version of each track plays. Recent playlists appear on your dashboard and in search. Free accounts get one playlist; every paid plan gets unlimited playlists.
• Music that keeps playing. Audio no longer stops when you open another page. The player bar stays with you and shows the playlist and cover art for what’s playing.
• A shorter start. New accounts finish setup in three steps and can upload their first session along the way.
• Upload progress you can see. A waveform fills in as your file uploads, and Aliada tells you if an upload is interrupted.
• Photos from any phone or camera. Profile pictures and images now accept the photo formats phones and cameras use, including iPhone photos. If an image can’t be read, Aliada says why. We now handle all size & format conversions so it’s less fussy.
• Complete session exports. An exported session includes everything in it, cover art too, so it works as a full archive.
• Drag to mark a section. Drag across the waveform to mark a section of a track and edit it in place.
• PRO affiliations page. Your PRO affiliations have their own page with a searchable picker.
• Show your password. The sign-up form has a show/hide button in place of the second password box.
• Threaded feedback. Feedback conversations with the Aliada team now read as one thread, and reply emails keep their formatting.

• Tables remember your view. Sorting, filters and searches stay put when you leave a page and come back.
• Waveforms appear on their own. When a new version finishes processing, its waveform shows up without reloading the page.
• Faster pages. The analytics page shows each chart as soon as its data is ready, and share pages load faster for listeners.
• More dependable cover art. Generated cover images finish reliably, and the create button waits until yours is ready.
• Easier to use with a keyboard or screen reader. Focus outlines are easy to see, playlist buttons are easier to tap, icon buttons are announced properly, and Aliada respects your device’s reduce-motion setting.
• More consistent screens. Forms and tables look and work the same way across Aliada, and contact email addresses are partly hidden in lists.
• Help that follows you. The Help and News panel stays open as you move between pages, and Get Started now opens the Key Concepts guide.
• Clearer sign-in and share pages. If the security check can’t load, Aliada explains why. On share pages, playback waits until the check and any password are done.
• Lock screen and media keys control playback consistently.
• Plan changes. Analytics is included with Pro and above. On the Free plan, paid features show as locked instead of disappearing, and private share links can be set never to expire.

• Recent Sessions no longer lists sessions you can’t open.
• Playback no longer starts on a version that is still processing.
• Create forms wait for your profile picture to finish uploading before saving.
• A dropped connection no longer reloads the page.
• The notifications panel stays in place when you open it.
• Comments at 0:00 keep their timestamp, and “add timestamp” uses the exact moment you click.
• Playlists keep playing through long listening sessions, and shared tracks in a playlist stay playable.
• Link versions get a proper file name.
• Upload fields now show their error messages.
• Comparing versions now tells you when a track can’t play.
• Session exports no longer fail on some share links.
• The to-do form only offers what you’re allowed to do.
• The country picker matches the rest of Aliada.
• The Team Contacts link is back in the team menu.
• Search no longer shrinks on laptop screens.
• Fixed occasional errors from profile pictures, the help panel, background images and pop-up menus.
• Error pages load even when the rest of Aliada is unavailable.
